As the Assistant Director of Corporate Fleet, Transport & Accessible Community Transport at Islington Council, I am committed to advancing the standards and practices within the fleet industry, and I believe my experience aligns well with the goals of the AFP.
With over six years of experience in fleet management and over 20 years within the Public Sector, I have successfully overseen the fleet operations of Islington Council’s corporate fleet, focusing on efficiency, sustainability, decarbonisation, and compliance. My role involves implementing innovative solutions to enhance fleet performance while ensuring we meet our environmental and net zero targets. I have a strong track record of collaborating with various stakeholders to drive improvements and foster a culture of safety and responsibility within our industry.
I am eager to take my involvement with The AFP to the next level because I am passionate about making a meaningful impact in the fleet sector. I believe that by working together, we can address the pressing challenges we face, such as the transition to greener technologies, increased innovation, and the need for enhanced safety measures. Joining the board would allow me to contribute to these discussions and advocate for the interests of fleet operators across the UK.
I bring a wealth of knowledge from my experience in the public sector, which I believe will provide valuable insights to the board. My strong leadership skills and ability to engage with diverse groups will help foster collaboration and drive initiatives that benefit all members. I am committed to supporting The AFP’s mission and ensuring that we continue to elevate the standards of the fleet industry.
I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the AFP and work alongside fellow board members to drive positive change within our industry.
