My career in the fleet industry started back in 2003 at Inchcape Fleet Solutions, where I worked my way up in the business starting as Sales Support Executive and finishing up as Head of Sales & Account Management – reporting directly into the Managing Director. I had a number of notable successes in that period including developing and launching new products and new successful sales channels.
From there, I went across to Leasedrive to head up their new business function and to support their efforts to attract private equity investment, which we did within 2 years of my arrival, selling for a much higher multiple than previously anticipated following the new business success we had.
Following the merger with Zenith, I left Leasedrive and worked for Arval as Head of Corporate Sales, where I successfully designed and implemented their salary sacrifice offering, at the same time as working through the acquisition of GE Fleet in the UK and delivering their highest UK fleet.
I left Arval after 2 years to join SG Fleet as they embarked on their mission in the UK to create a disruptor in the market – I joined in 2016 as employee number 13 and have grown the business both organically and by acquisition to become a real force in that mid FN50 section, as a matter of fact in the past 2 years, no leasing company has won more awards than SG Fleet in the UK.
Outside of my work with SG Fleet, I am also a non-exec director of Hampshire FA and am on the final stage of the Chartered Director programme with the Institute of Directors.
My reason for wanting to join the AFP Board is that I believe I can help support the great work that is being done by the current board with my experience in the industry over the past 20+ years.
