I am a highly experienced Fleet Director, with over 25 years’ experience, specialising in operations management, procurement, project management, business integration and decarbonisation solutions.

I am responsible for all aspects of a large, complex fleet of c4,000 vehicles – comprising Cars, Vans, and a diverse range of specialist Large Goods Vehicles – working from 200+ locations across the UK, in a variety of sectors including Roads, Rail, Defence, Justice and Facilities Management.

Reasons for applying

My 25+ years fleet management experience (and prior 10 years commercial management) has given me a very broad understanding of the requirements of operating large complex vehicle fleets across multiple industry sectors, in all parts of the UK.

I already work closely with Logistics UK – having participated in a number of Panel Debates, and Round Table Discussions (including with the Transport Select Committee), and providing input to policy reviews. However, I am very interested in using my experience to play a bigger role in helping to shape and influence future policy direction, ensuring that policies reflect and accommodate the needs of fleet operators.

I am also passionate about decarbonisation, having made significant progress with the decarbonisation of our own fleet. 90% of our company car fleet and 10% of our LCV fleet is already fully electric (on course to be at 30% by end of 2025), together with the depot infrastructure to support the transition. I am keen to working to dispel the myths that surround decarbonisation, and to work with others to help each other through the challenges ahead of us.
