Course content:

The course is divided in 2 modules:

Module 1: Develop Knowledge – Build on existing knowledge with additional tools and develop self-awareness when leading others.
Module 2: Activate Knowledge – Adapt the approach to managing the team, based on individual needs and understanding what drives them.

Recognise the role and responsibility leaders and employees have when they work alongside colleagues and customers in a complex and changing world.
Explore the range of topics that create life challenges for many people and how these can present in the workplace.
Identify tools and approaches that develop our knowledge of human behaviour and how we can positively influence others.
Use a range of powerful coaching questions to get to the root of challenging scenarios and work together with individuals to create solutions.

Cost

£395 course fee per person for AFP members, £495 for non-members.

You do not need to join as a member to purchase this course, but with membership starting at £99 we would encourage you to find out more about our membership benefits.

Cancellation policy:

Cancellation less than 4 weeks before the course start date will result in a 100% cancellation fee, and no refund will be issued.
Cancellation less than 8 weeks but more than 4 weeks before the course start date will result in a 50% cancellation fee, and 50% of the course fee will be refunded.

If you need to cancel your booking, please inform us as soon as possible to ensure we can assist you accordingly.

Cancellation policy for 3 or more delegates booked on the same course:

A company can book a maximum of 4 spaces on one course. If more than 2 spaces are booked and cancellation is requested less than 16 weeks before the course start date, then a 50% refund will apply.
(The AFP is a not-for-profit organisation, and this policy ensures the course can still run for the remaining delegates)

Do you have days when the challenges of managing people take up so much time and often seem unresolved?

This course is designed to support you with the wide range of challenges faced when leading others. Whether you have been managing people for many years, or at the start of your journey, we will explore the challenges you face in a safe and supportive environment, sharing different tools and approaches.

Together we will discover how to find balance in the workplace when offering the support that all employees should expect when they come to work, whilst still holding people to account for the role they are employed to do.

Build confidence in dealing with a wide range of challenges, from anxiety to equality, health issues to disruptive behaviour; every situation with any individual is unique. We will share a simple model that gives you the foundation to approach any challenge you face, including any scenarios you wish to bring to the course, developing knowledge and skills together.

Many employers recognise and value ongoing professional development (often referred to as “continuing professional development”), so remember to add 7 hours for attending this course to your log.
