I would like to put myself forward for consideration as a board member of the AFP, I consider myself to be suitably qualified for this role, due to my experience and knowledge in running a large diverse fleet, managing everything from a small van to a 32t HGV, the knowledge that I gained during this time has stood me in good stead going forward.
I have extensive knowledge and experience, moving into Fleet Management in 2004 where I worked with several leasing companies ensuring the company had the best advantageous deal for the vehicles that were being purchased.
Nine years later and with three major awards under my belt, I made the move to project management, where I have completed the most high-profile project to date of installing 723 EVCP’s at our managed station car parks
I understand the issues facing our fleets today, cost, supply, legislation to name a few as well as all the rules and cabotage requirements we face from Europe.
I have experience in complex vehicle conversions, dealing with unions, Health and safety, Qualified Transport Manager, experience with dealing with Vosa in compliance and Operator’s licence duties, including being named on the operator’s licence.
I believe that I can add value and bring with me a mixture of experience and knowledge which can be passed onto other members for their benefit.
